FELLOWS HOMES STARTS WORK ON DUKE STREET SITE

16th December 2013

Fellows Homes have confirmed that they have started work on their new housing development at Duke Street, Chorley.

Ground works have now commenced on the first phase of the development, which when completed will provide 70 new homes in a range of 2 and 3 bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached family house styles. A proportion of affordable housing is also included and incorporates a range of 1 and 2 bed apartments. The new development follows on from the success of The Village Garden which now has its final few plots remaining.

Dave Fellows of Fellows Homes commented “The Village Garden scheme has proved a huge success and with the last remaining plots available we thought it would be the ideal time to commence work on the new development. Fellows Homes have been constructing bespoke design and build houses for over 30 years bringing customers aspirations to life. We have brought that expertise and know-how to the family homes market with The Village Garden and are pleased to continue this on the Duke Street scheme.”

The Duke Street development is the second joint venture scheme between Northern Trust and local house builder Fellows Homes; and the plans also include a contribution towards improvements to playing fields within Chorley and enhancements to the play space facilities on Rangletts recreation ground opposite the site. In addition there will also be upgrades to the bus stop on nearby Pall Mall.

The new housing site is situated in an excellent location close to Chorley Town Centre and nearby local amenities. Chorley benefits from good communications links with Junction 8 of the M61 close by.

Fellows Homes have also announced that they can now offer the Help to Buy new Government backed scheme. Help to Buy equity loans are open to both first-time buyers and home movers on new build homes worth up £600,000.

Anyone interested in registering their interest for the new houses or the final remaining plots at The Village Garden can contact Fellows Homes on 01257 460118 or email: mjfellows@btconnect.com.
