NEW HOME SCHEME IN NOTTINGHAMSHIRE BROUGHT TO MARKET

3rd November 2020

New homes are set to be built in Nottinghamshire as land with planning permission for up to 120 dwellings has been brought to the market.

Leading property consultancy Fisher German is marketing a 9.88 acre site with planning permission, subject to signing a Section 106 Agreement, off Burton Road, in Gedling.

The land, currently being used for agricultural purposes, is opposite the new Gedling Access Road which is under construction and due for completion in Autumn 2021.

The firm is acting on behalf of landowners Midlands Land Portfolio Ltd, the property development arm of Severn Trent Water working with land promoter Northern Trust to market the site for sale by informal tender and is now inviting offers from interested housebuilders.

Luke Brafield of Fisher German, said: “Gedling is an increasingly popular area and we are delighted to be acting for Midlands Land Portfolio Ltd and working with Northern Trust to bring this opportunity to the market.

“The site is not only close to a number of outstanding and good Ofsted-rated schools, but is also in close proximity to Victoria Retail Park which provides a range of retail and leisure facilities.

“The transport links are excellent; Nottingham City Centre is located just three-and-a-half miles away, and the site is a mile from both Gedling & Carlton and Burton Joyce train stations, with direct trains to Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. Regular bus services also run from Burton Road to Nottingham and Southwell.

“The site is well placed for quick access to local road networks and the new Gedling Access Road, due to be completed next year, will create a ‘bypass’ around the east of Gedling, increasing the capacity of the highway network”

“Indicative designs propose 120 dwellings, a children’s play area, potential cycleway, green corridors and tree planting, in addition to the existing retained vegetation which runs parallel to the A-road and encloses the site.

“This has the potential to be a fantastic housing scheme in a desirable and family-friendly area of Nottinghamshire, and we now look forward to receiving offers from interested housebuilders.”

The closing date for offers is scheduled for December 16. Further information about the site is available by contacting Luke Brafield on Luke.Brafield@fishergerman.co.uk or 07468860081 or Matthew Handford on Matthew.Handford@fishergerman.co.uk or 07468860086.
